This week, Green.Org connected with James Wagoner to learn about his journey into portable energy and the future of power systems!
Joule Case is a company dedicated to providing battery power and backup systems for any application. The battery and solar systems can provide power for a range of activities, from food trucks and live events, to camping and emergency backup. Joule Case systems can also help clean up power distribution so the power is exactly where it is needed without long cable runs.
As the CEO of Joule Case, James is committed to the environment and excited about all the applications to reduce energy consumption – let’s learn more!
Tell us a little bit about you and your background:
I am a Professional Engineer with a career focused on developing consumer and portable physical products. I have started two battery companies and am currently the CEO of the second one, Joule Case.
What is a fun fact about you?
I rode a bicycle from SF to LA and never got used to the uncomfortable bike seat.
Why do you think climate change and sustainability is such an important topic today?
This is our future. The technology is there now and we just have to implement it in ways that make the transition seamless.
What do you envision your industry looking like 10 years from now?
Energy/renewable energy/storage is going to be bigger than the internet. Our lives depend more and more on devices and technology that requires electricity. The electrical grid is failing and is not built for decentralized renewables. Elegant and accessible battery storage for all power applications will be adopted.
What can the average person do to make a difference?
Be open to new technologies and renewable energy in more parts of their lives. Learn more about the promising technologies that have the potential of reducing their carbon footprint.
