Going Green got to sit down with Ricky Zollinger, host and producer of Going Green.
Tell us a little bit about you and your background:
I graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego with a degree in tv and film. I am a videographer and producer with an emphasis in creating content for social media.
What is a fun fact about you?
I used to play guitar and sing in a band.
What was your motivation to get into this industry?
My motivation comes from a need for a change in society. The earth is headed in a cataclysmic direction and we need to be doing everything we can to change that.
Why do you think climate change/sustainability is such an important topic today?
I believe that it’s not just an important topic, it’s the only topic. With out the earth we as humans have nothing.
What do you envision your industry looking like 10 years from now?
In 10 years there will be more prominent news outlets in the sustainable space and people will be much more versed in sustained issues.
What can the average person do to make a difference?
Educated yourself and start with the little things.
What positive changes are you seeing?
People in places of power and starting to talk about these important issues.
