Going Green had the opportunity to meet with Laura Ehman from Semios. Let’s learn more about Laura and what Semios is doing.
Laura, tell us about what you do at Semios.
I work in Marketing at Semios.
Tell us a little bit about you and your background:
I’ve been working in marketing and communication for the past 15 years, primarily in the B2B space. I joined Semios 10 months ago and have witnessed incredible growth and traction in our key markets.
Why do you think climate change/sustainability is such an important topic today?
As an agriculture technology company, sustainable food production is key to feeding a global population that is set to double by 2050. Current agricultural methods cannot sustain this growth. As one of the more hesitant adopters of technology, the agriculture industry is poised for innovation and efficiency.
What can the average person do to make a difference?
The average person can learn about how their food is produced, and where it’s coming from. This can help them make responsible consumption decisions, and give them an appreciation for the hard work that goes in to putting food on the table.
Laura, thank you for taking the time to meet with us.
