Educate Yourself
The fact that you’re reading this is a good start and understanding there is a problem and proactively working to make it better is the best thing you can do. Educate yourself about upcoming elections and vote for politicians who take a strong stance about climate change. Next, make small changes in your day to day lifestyle that can positively effect the environment around you.
Support Local Businesses
Shopping with local businesses supports your local economy and also helps the environment. Buying foods that were grown locally means less fuels to transport them. Find businesses that take a percentage of their profits and reinvest it back into the community.
Plant a Tree
Planting trees is one of the most effective ways to reduce CO2 in the atmosphere. If you don’t know where to do so, simply buy a shirt, mug, or cup from Going Green, and we will automatically plant a tree in your name.
Reduce Single Use Plastics
Here’s a challenge: stop buying one-off plastic water bottles, soda bottles, and plastic bags from the grocery store. By doing this, you are quickly on your way to helping the environment. If you need a reusable water bottle or coffee mug, you can purchase them here: Going Green Store. Not only will you be eliminating single use plastics by buying a reusable cup, you will be planting a tree at the same time.
If everyone made these simple changes and decided to actively help the environment, it would make a big difference and therefore making the world a better place to live for ourselves and our future generations.
