This week, we connected with Jake Tornatzky, owner of DriEV, a company founded to help the push towards a carbon-free future. By offering commercial, residential, and municipal EV charging stations, DriEV provides the infrastructure that allows for the clean energy transition to be possible.
With over 25 years of experience and thousands of clean energy installations in his toolkit, Jake Tornatzky is a leader within the creation of Colorado’s EV infrastructure. Let’s learn more about Jake!
Tell us a little bit about you, your background, and your current role:
My career in the renewable industry started in 1992 and has included solar thermal, PV, energy efficiency and EV Charging. I am currently the owner of DriEV, a provider of EV charging stations for homes and businesses.
What is a fun fact about you?
I love to ice skate on frozen lakes.
Why do you think climate change and sustainability is such an important topic today?
Humans have the ability to improve the world they live in vs. the consistent trajectory that runs opposite of that. Renewables are a significant part of better path forward for our current and future generations.
What do you envision your industry looking like 10 years from now?
The entire world of renewables is going to become even more “mainstream” and will continue to create value in different parts of the economy.
What can the average person do to make a difference?
Educate yourself about the issues and take appropriate action.
