Green Media News sat down with Cynda Jones to learn about the combination of Psychology and The Digital Economy.
Tell us a little bit about you and your background:
I am a behavioral scientist, qualitative research, strategist and executive coach specializing in Web 3 technology. My work focused on helping organizations utilize Web3 technology and best practices in business management and leadership to develop sustainable competitive advantage. My career spans multiple disciplines that have contributed to a unique point of view.
My early career was in contract administration for healthcare, an administrative professional in the nonprofit sector and an entrepreneur. I also spent 25 years as a project manager and entrepreneur in the production of high-visibility events. These days, I am completing my PhD in Business Psychology at The Chicago School for Professional Psychology where I am writing a dissertation of the psychology of Web 3 and the digital economy.
What would you do with $1 Billion dollars?
I would invest in a campaign to support mental and emotional well-being that teaches us how to become more emotionally intelligent with specific focus on stakeholders in Web 3. Considering one can be anybody they want to be in Web 3, why not be the best version of yourself? I have coached many people in Emotional Intelligence and I know the kind of satisfaction and fulfillment one can achieve when they are more self-aware and conscious about the need to co-exist with others with background and cultural differences.
Why do you think sustainability is such an important topic today?
We have one planet. I like the idea of space exploration but if we can’t take care of this one, then the probability that we will destroy another planet is high. Learning how to manage ourselves, co-exist peacefully and live sustainably gives us more time to appreciate the absolute beauty and grandeur of our plant earth.
What can the average person do to make a difference?
Before you cast your judgement and opinion on someone else, look to yourself first to see how you might play a role in what you’re doing. You can only talk about things you recognize and if you can recognize it you are likely struggling with he issue yourself and are projecting in some way about the person you’re discussing.
